Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Outpatient Oncology Infusion position in Raleigh, NC, requiring ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification and 2+ years of chemo/immunotherapy infusion experience.

Details

  • Outpatient oncology infusion center setting
  • Services include chemotherapy/biotherapy infusions, blood product administration, IV iron infusions, port lab draws, injections, and IV fluids/electrolyte treatments
  • Day shift schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm
  • 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts
  • No weekends, no on-call requirements
  • Holiday coverage required on every other holiday (EOH)

Requirements

  • Active NC RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
  • Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
  • ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of chemotherapy/immunotherapy infusion experience
  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
  • Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred
  • Two professional references required for consideration

Additional Information

  • Administer and monitor chemotherapy, biotherapy, IV infusions, blood products, and related oncology treatments
  • Coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Provide education and emotional support to patients and families throughout their visit
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update individualized plans of care
  • Background check and drug screen required prior to start; candidates should expect at least a 2-week turnaround for results
