Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a PACU position requiring at least 1 year of recent acute care PACU experience and current BLS/ACLS certification.

Details

• Work in the Recovery Room (PACU) unit of a 30-bed hospital department
• Patient ratios of 1 RN to 2 patients, or 1 RN to 1 patient depending on acuity
• Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse/CNC and 12 nurses; night shift typically staffed with 2 RNs, often on call
• Common procedures include craniotomies and orthopedic cases
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Scheduled shift is 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM
• On-call required with a 30-minute response time

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care hospital PACU experience required
• Prior Meditech experience preferred
• Flexibility with hours preferred
• No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care for surgical patients including craniotomy and orthopedic cases
• Team environment with a strong focus on patient experience and a calm, adaptable attitude
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be considered
