Description

American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Coronary Care Unit (CCU/ICU) position requiring at least 1 year of recent acute care ICU experience and BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications.

Details

• 26-bed Coronary Care Unit (CCU) within a hospital setting
• Unit staffed with 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 1 Patient Care Tech per shift
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Utilizes balloon pumps, CRRT, and hypothermia equipment
• Performs procedures including heart caths, cardioversion, central lines, and medication drips
• Uses Meditech EMR
• 13-week assignment with 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Requirements

• Active KS or compact RN license required
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital ICU experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• Prior Meditech experience preferred
• Prior travel experience in a large facility ICU preferred
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to coronary and cardiac patients requiring close monitoring and specialized interventions
• Work alongside a collaborative team including RNs, Charge Nurses, and Patient Care Techs
• Best suited for driven, organized, and efficient candidates with a positive and engaged attitude
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
