Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU travel assignment in Elko, NV, requiring a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience and an active NV RN license.
Details
- 7-bed ICU unit at a Joint Commission-accredited hospital in Elko, NV
- Adult and geriatric patient population with common diagnoses including COPD, CHF, respiratory failure, overdose, alcohol withdrawal, DKA, STEMI, AMI, and stroke
- Patient ratios: 2:1 for higher acuity ICU patients; 5:1 for medical-surgical overflow
- Preferred skills include arterial lines, central lines, mechanical ventilation, BiPAP, post-cardiac cath lab care, post-surgical care, moderate sedation, chest tube management, electrolyte management, and telemetry
- Equipment includes IV pumps, SCDs, telemetry, and bedside monitoring
- EMR: MedHost
- 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 36 hours per week
- Weekends required on a rotating basis
- If the unit is on standby, RNs float to other units or are placed on call
- On-call requires reporting to the facility within 30 minutes of being called
Requirements
- Active NV RN license required
- Current AHA certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Social Security number required for consideration
- Date of birth required for consideration
- Candidate must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
Additional Information
- Weekly Monday orientations
- No specific scrub color required
- Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
- Candidates may not be employed elsewhere full time
- This is a rapid response position — candidates must be available to start within 7–10 days of offer
