Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Cath Lab RN (Circulator) with RLHC/PCI, Peripheral, and EP experience for a 13-week travel contract requiring an active VA or Compact RN license in hand at time of consideration.
Details
- Hospital-based Cath Lab unit
- Schedule is 4x10-hour shifts (07:00–17:30) or 3x12-hour shifts (07:00–19:30) depending on unit need
- On-call required: 2–3 call shifts per week, including both short call and long call (overnight emergency call 17:30–07:00), with 2 call weekends per 6-week period
- Short call during the week runs 17:30–20:00 as backup after shift; short call on weekends covers 07:00–14:00 both Saturday and Sunday
- Long call weekend team covers Friday 17:30 through Sunday 07:00 and responds to both emergent and non-emergent cases
- Must be able to arrive on-site within 30 minutes of initial page for on-call response
- Weekend work required, typically 2 call weekends per 6-week period
- EMR: Epic (Cupid Cath module)
Requirements
- Active VA or Compact RN license in hand at time of consideration — pending licenses are not accepted
- Experience as a Cath Lab Circulator required, including RLHC/PCI, Peripheral, and EP circulating experience
- Must reside within 30 miles or 30 minutes of the facility to meet on-call response requirements
- Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 – March 31); religious or medical exemptions must comply with CMS guidelines
- COVID vaccination or qualified exemption required
- Driver's license (DL) and Social Security card (SSN) required for consideration
Additional Information
- Circulators perform scrub and circulating duties in the Cath Lab, supporting RLHC/PCI, Peripheral, and EP procedures
- Scrubs are provided by the hospital
- All travelers must attend either an accelerated or 2-day Epic orientation class; travelers who were at this facility within the past 6 months may forgo the Epic class
- Floating may be required on a rotating basis in accordance with facility policy and Joint Commission standards
- Candidates who were previously employed by this health system must wait one year before returning as a traveler
- RTO must be submitted upfront; no RTO will be approved after an offer is extended — keep requests to a minimum and expect to work some holidays
- This is a smoke- and nicotine-free facility
