Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position in a hospital setting, requiring an active NJ RN license and a minimum of 1 year of OR experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Operating Room (OR) setting
• Surgical patient population spanning pediatric to geriatric age groups
• AM shift, 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week
• On-call is required for this position
• Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required
• Epic EMR used for charting

Requirements

• Active NJ RN license (or compact license) required
• Current BLS certification required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of OR nursing experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Two professional references required for consideration
• Active NJ RN license required for consideration

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include perioperative assessment, individualized surgical patient care, pre- and post-operative education, and Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) order evaluation
• Candidates must adhere to National Patient Safety Goals, including Universal Protocol and dual patient identification
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
• Previous travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from their initial start date; a break of 30–60 days is required before returning to a new assignment
