Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring a minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience, including POD 0 Open Heart surgery care, IABP, and Impella device management.

Details

• Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) setting in a heart hospital environment
• Patient population includes post-operative open heart surgery patients (POD 0) and those requiring advanced mechanical circulatory support
• Experience with IABP and Impella devices required
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active TX RN license or compact license (no pending licenses accepted)
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU experience in a US hospital setting
• Hands-on experience with IABP and Impella devices required
• Experience caring for POD 0 open heart surgery patients required
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Expert ability to assess patient conditions and manage arrhythmias, pathophysiology, and hemodynamics
• Ability to communicate, coordinate, and delegate effectively in a high-stakes, fast-paced environment
• US Social Security Number required for consideration
• Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
• Date of birth required for consideration

• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position — local candidates are not accepted
• All certifications must be AHA-issued
