Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for an acute care hospital setting, requiring 2+ years of acute care case management experience and either Epic or travel nursing experience.

Details

  • Acute care hospital setting within the Case Management department
  • Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Required to work every 4th weekend
  • Required to work every other holiday
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • Responsibilities include care coordination, discharge planning, and disease management
  • Floating required within scope of practice as needed

Requirements

  • Active VA or compact RN license required (pending license accepted if in-hand by Wednesday before start date)
  • Nursys verification required
  • Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital case management experience required
  • Epic EMR experience or previous travel nursing experience required
  • BSN preferred
  • BLS certification preferred
  • Teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Trauma Level I or Level II experience preferred
  • Two professional references required
  • Copies of required certifications must be provided

Additional Information

  • Responsibilities include needs assessment, DME ordering, and plan of care management
  • Up to 40 hours of RTO may be approved per 13-week contract, and all time off must be disclosed at time of submission
  • Any vacation time planned between sign date and start date must be disclosed to determine an appropriate start date
  • Up to 16 non-billable hours of specialty-specific orientation modules required, completed during orientation and recorded in Workday
  • Previous permanent staff or internal/external traveler employment at this facility requires 1-year separation and leadership approval before returning
  • External travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days and are not eligible to return once this threshold is reached
