Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and an active compact RN license.
Details
- Labor and Delivery/LDRPN unit setting
- Provides care to expectant mothers and newborns before, during, and after childbirth
- Monitors maternal and fetal vital signs and manages pain including epidurals
- Assists with vaginal and surgical deliveries and educates families on postpartum recovery
- Night shift schedule from 18:30 to 07:00
- 13-week assignment
- Up to 6 weekend shifts required as needed per department needs
- Holiday coverage required as needed per department needs
Requirements
- Active RN license, Standard or Compact, currently in hand
- Current BLS certification (AHA)
- NRP certification (AHA/AAP) may be required
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience required
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, stressful environment
- Strong critical thinking and decisive judgment skills
- Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
Additional Information
- Implements and monitors patient care plans while coordinating care across disciplines
- Carries out physician and nursing orders and assesses discharge planning needs
- Follows Standard Precautions and uses personal protective equipment as required
- Radius rule applies, allowing local candidates at a reduced rate depending on facility location
- Candidates must provide a US Social Security Number and US home address
