Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Circulator for a Pediatric Operating Room position requiring prior pediatric OR experience and TN or compact licensure.
Details
- Work in the Operating Room department of a pediatric hospital
- Serves pediatric surgical patient population as an OR Circulator
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, 0645-1515
- On-call responsibilities required, with details to be discussed during interview
- Block scheduling is not guaranteed
- May float between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius, though cross-campus floating is rare
Requirements
- Active RN license (TN or compact license compliant with NLC guidelines) required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience required with prior travel experience, or 3 years of OR experience if no travel experience
- Pediatric OR experience required
- At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required; first-time travelers not accepted
- BSN required for this position
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
Additional Information
- Serve as an RN Circulator supporting pediatric surgical procedures in the OR
- Must reside at least 100 miles from the facility; local candidates within this radius are not considered
- Holiday coverage required: if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment, must work 2 of the 3; if only 2 holidays fall within the assignment, must work at least 1
- Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Former travelers who completed a full-year assignment must wait 1 full year before returning
- Facility maintains strict compliance requirements for all candidate submissions
