Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a night shift assignment at a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring DaVinci Xi robotic and liver transplant surgery experience.
Details
- Works in the Operating Room department of a hospital setting
- Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (18:30-07:00), 36 hours per week
- Level 1 Trauma center environment
- Holiday and weekend coverage required
- Supports a wide range of surgical specialties including general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics, neurology, urology, ENT, plastics, and transplant procedures
- Experience with robotic-assisted surgeries required, specifically the DaVinci Xi Surgical System
- Liver transplant surgery experience required
- Additional preferred experience includes ophthalmology cases such as cataract extraction and eye trauma
Requirements
- Active OH or compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required
- Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
- Required experience with DaVinci Xi Robot and liver transplant procedures
- Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- 2 professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor; a Charge RN may serve as the second reference; coworker references not accepted
Additional Information
- Provides intraoperative nursing care across a broad range of surgical specialties in a Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Locals are accepted at the same pay rate
- Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more
- Current employees of any Ohio State University hospital location are ineligible to work as a traveler
- Requested RTO must be submitted with the contract and limited to 7 days or less
- Candidates must be prepared to complete Ohio-specific fingerprinting requirements promptly after signing the contract
