Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a busy community Emergency Department position requiring TNCC certification and night shift availability.

Details

• Work in a 12-bed community Emergency Department functioning with 24/7 MD and mid-level provider support
• Approximately 14,000 patient visits per year with an average acuity level of 3
• Patient ratios of 4-6 patients per nurse
• RN and ED Tech staffing available 24/7
• Uses Carefusion Alaris IV pumps and GE bedside monitors
• Documents using the Cerner EMR system
• Performs procedures including bedside cardioversion, procedural sedation, splinting, and assisting with intubation
• Schedule consists of 3x 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) with 6-8 weekend shifts per schedule

Requirements

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Required experience with emergency patient population
• ICU, cardiac experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, NIHSS, BLS, and TNCC
• PALS or ENPC required
• Excellent assessment skills required
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration (Canadian SSN not accepted)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to emergency department patients across a range of acuities
• Assist with advanced procedures such as cardioversion, procedural sedation, and intubation support
• Facility has received Pathway Designation from ANCC
• Dress code requires navy scrubs with white tops
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, no local candidates accepted
