Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years experience in cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures.

Details

• Acute care setting within a Cardiac Cath Lab unit with 3 procedure suites
• Average caseload of 15-18 cases per day
• Cardiology patient population
• EP procedures are part of the Cath Lab scope
• Uses Epic EMR
• Uses Toshiba, Carto, and Abbott equipment/systems
• 4x10 hour rotating shifts, either 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Call coverage required with a 30 minute response time, on-call hours from 4:30 PM to 6:00 AM
• Weeknight, weekend, and holiday call required
• Floating limited to Cath Lab and EP only

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in Cath Lab required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• ARRT (CI) certification required; ARRT (R) or ARRT (VI) also accepted
• License required if applicable
• Experience with Impella, IABP, and INARI required
• Experience with electrophysiology procedures including PVC, PT, cryo or transeptal ablations, and laser lead extractions required
• Experience with device work and EP recording systems required
• Ability to scrub, document, monitor, and circulate EP cases required

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include scrubbing and documenting cases, stocking rooms, assisting physicians with all EP procedures, and monitoring/circulating EP cases
• OR scrubs provided daily
• Unit/department specific orientation provided
• Candidates must live outside a 50 mile radius from the facility to be eligible; no local travelers accepted
• Former travelers who worked at any WVU Medicine location must have taken a 2-year break before reapplying
• Travelers cannot work within WVU for longer than 1 year cumulatively without taking a 2-year break
• All candidates interview directly with a manager
