Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an outpatient position requiring a CA PT license and 1-2 years of related experience.

Details

• Outpatient physical therapy setting with minimal acute inpatient coverage on occasion
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, approximately 8am to 5pm
• Administers APTA standard physical therapy treatments for disabilities, injuries, and diseases
• Works under limited supervision to relieve pain, restore motor function, and maintain optimal patient performance

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in physical therapy or a related field
• 1-2 years of related experience and/or training required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current California Physical Therapy license required, or eligible for registration (license required if applicable)
• Valid California driver's license and evidence of automobile insurance required when travel is part of the role
• APTA membership preferred
• Able to interpret physician orders and develop effective treatment plans
• Strong oral and written communication skills required
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include administering physical therapy treatments and developing individualized treatment plans
• Collaborates professionally with nurses, physicians, and other hospital or home health staff
• Reports to the Rehab Director
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered

• Accepts local candidates with no radius restrictions, and local rates match travel rates
