Description
American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience and ARRT (MR) certification for an acute care hospital assignment.
Details
- Acute care hospital setting within the MRI department
- Department equipped with a GE 3T and GE 1.5T scanner
- Facility includes 2 MRI rooms, 4 CT rooms, 3 X-ray rooms plus endo, OR, and portables, 2 Nuc Med rooms plus PET, 3 US rooms, and 3 Mammo rooms
- M-F rotating 8-hour day shifts
- Shared on-call responsibilities with call every third weekend
- Varied weekend and holiday coverage requirements
- May float to CT, X-ray, OR, Endo, or ED as needed
- Uses EPIC EMR and McKesson PACS system
- Radiation badge provided by facility
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist required
- Current BLS certification required
- ARRT (MR) certification required
- License required if applicable
- X-ray or CT experience preferred
- Must be flexible, positive, and willing to learn and work across varied assignments
- Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas
Additional Information
- Perform varied imaging studies and procedures as assigned
- 1-2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided
- Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility, verified via driver's license
- Candidates may not be currently employed full time, part time, or PRN with any CommonSpirit-associated facility, including CHI or Dignity
- Up to 7 days of RTO may be requested upfront per 13-week contract; additional RTO requests will not be approved after submission
- Facility may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
