Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a NICU position requiring Level 3/Level 4 NICU experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at a hospital setting
• Level 3/Level 4 NICU patient population
• 13-week assignment with AM shift, 7a-7p
• 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• Uses Epic EMR for charting
• Floating as needed, including to a sister hospital nearby
• No on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active NJ or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS and NRP certifications required
• RNC-NIC certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of NICU experience required
• Minimum 2 years of travel nursing experience required
• Level 3/Level 4 NICU experience required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
• Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred

Additional Information

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and deliver age-appropriate nursing care across all growth and development stages
• Provide competent clinical care including knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures specific to the NICU population
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nursing care and patient progress
• Foster a patient- and family-centered environment while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality standards
• Follow National Patient Safety Goals including Universal Protocol and use of two patient identifiers
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this assignment
• Travelers may remain on assignment for up to one calendar year from the initial start date, after which a 30-60 day break is required before returning
