Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Neuro Med/Surg unit position requiring an active AL or compact RN license and NIH Stroke Scale certification.
Details
- Work on a 18-bed Neuro Med/Surg unit within a hospital setting
- Care for post-neurosurgery and neuroscience patients
- Patient ratio of 1:6
- EPIC EMR used
- Night shift schedule from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
- 13-week assignment length
- Required to work every other weekend
- No on-call responsibilities
- Floating required as needed
Requirements
- Active RN license (AL or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), AHA-issued only
- Minimum 2 years of recent Neuro/Neurosurgery nursing experience required
- Skills checklist for Neuro/Neurosurgery specialty required
Additional Information
- Provide nursing care to post-neurosurgery and neuroscience patients
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic expected
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Artificial fingernails not permitted
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for this travel position
