Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Acute Care Hospital setting with strong outpatient orthopedic experience and 2+ years of experience required.
Details
- Acute Care Hospital setting with a focus on outpatient orthopedic care
- Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours
- Shift options include Tuesday-Friday 10:00am-6:30pm and Saturday 8:00am-4:30pm
- Flexible shift assignments including varying days of week and hours may be required
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
- PT licensure required (license required if applicable); approved license applicants or resident training program employees may also be considered
- License required if applicable
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Strong outpatient orthopedic experience required
Additional Information
- Plans, prepares, and implements individualized physical therapy treatment programs to improve or restore physical function and alleviate pain
- Completes patient evaluations, tests, and documentation per established standards and regulatory requirements
- Develops and updates patient Plans of Care based on exam findings and diagnosis
- Assesses and progresses patient treatment according to the plan of care
- Coordinates care effectively with other providers and support team members
- Provides clinical supervision to assistants and/or aides
- Serves as a clinical instructor for assigned students
- Participates in quality improvement processes and interdisciplinary projects
- Inspects and operates equipment per manufacturer guidelines, reporting malfunctions as needed
- Accepts local candidates within a 50-mile radius at the local rate
- Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only one holiday request permitted per contract
- Compliance documents and lab work must be completed within 3-5 days of contract signing
- 7-year work history verification required for all candidates
