Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a Level 1 trauma acute care facility.

Details

• Acute care setting within a Level 1 trauma facility
• Cardiac Cath Lab unit, separate from IR and EP departments
• 6 procedure suites/labs with an average of 10 to 15 cases per day
• Uses EPIC, PACS, and McKesson cardiology systems
• 4x10 hour day shifts with call requirements
• Rotating weekends and holidays
• On-call required on a rotational basis, approximately 8-9 shifts per month
• Call response time of 30 minutes from time of page
• Floating is not required at this time

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required
• ARRT, BLS, and IEMA certifications required
• License required if applicable
• Pediatric experience preferred but not required
• McKesson cardiology PACS experience preferred but not required
• Must be able to perform scrubbing, monitoring hemodynamics, and circulating duties

Additional Information

• Duties include scrubbing, monitoring hemodynamics, and circulating during procedures
• Cardiologists are on call 24/7, 365 days a year
• Primary charge nurse present from 0600-1530 who does not routinely complete cases but takes call
• Unit-specific orientation typically lasts 3 to 5 days
• Scrubs are provided by the hospital
• Mandatory call list is utilized when staff cannot fulfill their call shift
• Local candidates accepted with a reduced local rate available for those within 50 miles of the facility
• No radius rule restricting eligibility
