Description

American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of experience and an OK or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a short-term acute care hospital
• Level III Trauma facility
• Night shift 3x12 hours (18:45-7:15)
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Required to cover pediatric patients as needed
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Float required
• No on-call responsibilities
• No blocked schedules allowed
• Charts using Meditech, experience preferred
• Uses feeding tube care and management, IV therapy/phlebotomy skills

Requirements

• Active RN license (OK or compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and NIHSS required; ACLS and CPI preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Telemetry experience preferred but not required
• Pediatric experience within the last 3 years preferred
• Meditech charting experience preferred
• Feeding tube care and management, IV therapy/phlebotomy experience preferred
• Two references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide medical-surgical nursing care, including care for pediatric patients as needed
• Facility is a general medical and surgical hospital with 110 staffed beds
• Must reside outside a 45-mile radius to be considered for travel pay rate
• Local candidates within the radius are not considered
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Blue scrubs required for nursing staff
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration
• Travel pairs are allowed
