Description
American Traveler is seeking a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring 2 years of experience and an OK or compact RN license.
Details
- Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a short-term acute care hospital
- Level III Trauma facility
- Night shift 3x12 hours (18:45-7:15)
- Patient ratio of 1:5
- Required to cover pediatric patients as needed
- Every other weekend coverage required
- Float required
- No on-call responsibilities
- No blocked schedules allowed
- Charts using Meditech, experience preferred
- Uses feeding tube care and management, IV therapy/phlebotomy skills
Requirements
- Active RN license (OK or compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: BLS and NIHSS required; ACLS and CPI preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
- Telemetry experience preferred but not required
- Pediatric experience within the last 3 years preferred
- Meditech charting experience preferred
- Feeding tube care and management, IV therapy/phlebotomy experience preferred
- Two references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide medical-surgical nursing care, including care for pediatric patients as needed
- Facility is a general medical and surgical hospital with 110 staffed beds
- Must reside outside a 45-mile radius to be considered for travel pay rate
- Local candidates within the radius are not considered
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Blue scrubs required for nursing staff
- RTO must be submitted at time of consideration
- Travel pairs are allowed
