Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for an Outpatient setting requiring 1+ year of experience and current BLS certification.

Details

• Short-term acute care hospital setting within the PT Outpatient unit
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Occasional Saturday on-call coverage required
• Floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals is required
• Uses Cerner for charting

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of recent Physical Therapy experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Manual Therapy certification preferred
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Pending state license accepted, but license must be in hand prior to start date
• License required if applicable
• 2 supervisor references required
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Experience with outpatient orthopedic, pediatric, and neurologic patient populations preferred
• Skills in modalities such as E-stim, ultrasound, traction, and moist heat preferred

Additional Information

• Main responsibilities include patient evaluation, treatment planning, and discharge documentation across outpatient orthopedic, pediatric, and neurologic caseloads
• Utilizes therapeutic modalities including cervical/lumbar traction, cryotherapy, e-stim, iontophoresis, moist heat, and ultrasound
• Provides home exercise programs and patient/family education
• First-time travelers are accepted for this position
• Local candidates residing in Indiana are considered local
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
• Up to 5 days of non-holiday RTO can be auto-approved; additional time off requires facility approval
• Former IU Health perm or PRN employees must have a 12-month break before applying as a traveler
• Current or past IU Health travelers with 12+ months of travel employment must complete a designated eligibility reset break before reapplying
