Description

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Respiratory Therapist for a day shift travel position requiring ICU, general floor, and ED experience.

Details

• Hospital-based Respiratory Therapy department serving inpatients and outpatients
• Experience needed in ICU, general floors, and ED
• Minimal NICU and pediatric experience needed to cover ED as required
• Day shift schedule from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Three 12-hour shifts per week
• 13-week assignment length

Requirements

• Certified or registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care
• License required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in respiratory therapy
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• Valid driver's license and US Social Security Number required for consideration

Additional Information

• Follow medical staff-approved protocols and department policies to provide timely diagnostic and therapeutic services
• Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive respiratory procedures
• Deliver medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas
• Maintain airways, manage ventilators, perform intubations, and draw blood gases
• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at this facility's health system within the past 2 years
• RTO requests must be less than 1 week
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius will not be considered
