Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele unit position requiring 2+ years of experience and a KY or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a fast-paced, 25-bed Med Surg/Tele unit
• Care for Inpatient, Observation, and Swing bed patients
• Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating to other units required
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• CPSI EMR experience preferred but not required

Requirements

• Active KY RN license or compact license required in hand at time of submission
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Tele experience required, 3 years preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• LTAC experience preferred
• Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and central/peripheral line care
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and dysrhythmia management
• Experience with respiratory care including chest tubes and oxygen administration
• Knowledge of wound care, isolation precautions, and IV insulin protocols

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a Med Surg/Tele unit setting
• Manage patients requiring cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and emergency response protocols
• Support patients with gastrointestinal, respiratory, genitourinary, and endocrine care needs
• Self-scheduling available for this position
• Local and first-time travelers accepted at the same rate
