Description
American Traveler is hiring a Night Shift RN - Telemetry with active MA licensure and BLS/ACLS certification for a 13-week assignment.
Details
- Hospital-based Telemetry unit setting
- Cares for patients with critical or life-threatening illness requiring continuous cardiac monitoring
- Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic status
- Administers prescribed cardiac medications and telemetry-approved drips
- Assists with emergency and elective cardioversions and temporary pacemaker insertions
- Treats adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
- Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
- Uses Epic for charting
- May be required to float to other units based on hospital needs, providing helping-hands support only if outside skillset
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required (no conditional or pending licenses accepted)
- Current BLS certification (AHA preferred)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA preferred)
- Primary source verification of license/certification required within 30 days of start and upon expiration (NURSYS and BON)
- Flu vaccine required with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
Additional Information
- Provides direct nursing care to telemetry patients, including monitoring, medication administration, and assisting with cardiac procedures
- Must effectively interact with patients across a range of ages and intellectual/physical abilities on an interdisciplinary level
- Local candidates accepted if permanent residence is within 60 miles of Boston, MA, at a reduced rate
