Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring 2+ years of ED experience and a ME or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in a 23-bed Emergency Department at a hospital
• Patient ratios of 4 to 6
• Uses Epic EMR
• Day shift schedule with 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM hours
• Every other weekend may be required
• Float policy of 25 miles between facilities as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (ME or Compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CPI or MOAB, and NIHSS required prior to start
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required
• Charge nurse experience is a plus

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to Emergency Department patients across a variety of acute cases
• Candidates residing within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility will be considered local, with a reduced bill rate
• Local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions
• RTO should be kept to a minimum, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for a 13-week contract
• Candidates who have worked at any MaineHealth facility within the past 12 months should disclose this during consideration

• No specific scrub color requirements
