Description

American Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring transition, postpartum, and newborn experience along with AWHONN fetal monitoring certification.

Details

• Labor and Delivery unit with 8 labor beds, 2 triage beds, 2 ORs, and 1 recovery room bed
• Unit staffed with CNC, RNs, Transition RN, Unit Secretary, and CST across day and night shifts
• Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 2:1
• Uses GE Monitors, Panda Warmers, Novi, and Neptune equipment
• EMR systems include CPN and Meditech
• 13-week assignment on night shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• Floating to Mother/Baby unit required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
• AWHONN fetal monitoring certification required (intermediate or advanced), or NCCEFM accepted
• Minimum 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery experience required
• Transition, postpartum, and newborn experience required
• No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide care for laboring patients, vaginal deliveries, and C-sections
• Provide care for newly delivered mothers and their newborns
• Charge experience preferred but not required
• Best fit for team players who are motivated, independent, and flexible
• Scrub color required: Royal Blue
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
