Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Respiratory unit night shift position requiring at least three years of relevant nursing experience and Illinois RN licensure.

Details

• Work in the Med/Surg Respiratory unit (7C) of a hospital environment
• 12-hour night shift schedule from 7:00PM-7:00AM
• 3 days per week for 36 hours per week
• 13-week assignment length
• Rotating weekend and holiday shifts required
• May float to other Carle Health facilities including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital
• Uses Epic charting system

Requirements

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience required
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Level 1 Trauma experience required

Additional Information

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to a designated group of medical/respiratory patients using the nursing process
• Complete initial patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care based on patient and family needs
• Implement and modify care plans based on continuous evaluation of patient status
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation to support care coordination among the healthcare team
• Report and correct safety hazards to ensure patient and employee safety
• Engage in professional communication and provide constructive feedback to support peer development
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; local candidates will not be considered
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 total days per 13-week contract
• Workers may not be continuously on assignment for more than 1 year at this health system without a 6-month break in service before returning
