Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring an active IL RN license and a minimum of three years of relevant nursing experience.
Details
- Work in the Med/Resp unit of a hospital setting
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- 3 shifts per week at 12 hours per shift, totaling 36 hours weekly
- Rotating weekend and holiday shift requirements
- May float to other Carle Health facilities including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital
- Uses Epic charting system
Requirements
- Active Illinois RN license in good standing required (temporary license accepted)
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience required
- ASN required, BSN preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Level 1 Trauma experience required
Additional Information
- Serve as a professional caregiver responsible for a designated group of patients using the nursing process and evidence-based practice
- Complete initial patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care based on patient and family needs
- Implement and modify care plans, nursing interventions, and patient care procedures based on ongoing evaluation
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation to support care coordination across the healthcare team
- Report and correct safety hazards to promote patient and employee safety
- Provide constructive feedback to peers and engage in professional development activities
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- RTO limited to a maximum of 7 days per 13-week contract
- Candidates who have worked at Carle Health for more than 1 continuous year must complete a 6-month break in service before returning to any Carle Health location
