Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a Float Pool position at a Level 1 trauma center, requiring BLS/ACLS and a minimum of 2 years experience in a similarly sized facility.

Details

  • Float pool position covering all critical care floors, ER and ER hold, plus MTC/Step-Down/PACU for holds as needed
  • Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
  • Uses EPIC EMR
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Block scheduling not typically approved by units
  • Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month

Requirements

  • Active RN license (GA or Compact) currently in hand
  • Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similarly sized facility required
  • Proven experience in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments required
  • Experience managing critical, fast-paced situations required
  • Background in high-volume hospitals with diverse and severe cases required
  • EPIC EMR experience required

Additional Information

  • Work in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex and challenging cases
  • Float to multiple critical care units based on facility needs
  • Minimal RTO available
  • Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel rate
