Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a Float Pool position at a Level 1 trauma center, requiring BLS/ACLS and a minimum of 2 years experience in a similarly sized facility.
Details
- Float pool position covering all critical care floors, ER and ER hold, plus MTC/Step-Down/PACU for holds as needed
- Night shift schedule with 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
- Uses EPIC EMR
- No on-call responsibilities
- Block scheduling not typically approved by units
- Travelers expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
Requirements
- Active RN license (GA or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similarly sized facility required
- Proven experience in high-pressure, large-scale trauma environments required
- Experience managing critical, fast-paced situations required
- Background in high-volume hospitals with diverse and severe cases required
- EPIC EMR experience required

- Work in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex and challenging cases
- Float to multiple critical care units based on facility needs
- Minimal RTO available
- Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel rate
