Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Oncology LTAC unit position requiring an active MA RN license and every other weekend/holiday coverage.
Details
- Work in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) Oncology unit
- Care for patients requiring chemotherapy administration and diagnosis management
- Night shift schedule from 19:00-07:30
- 13-week assignment length
- Required to work every other weekend
- Required to work assigned holidays
- Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
- Active MA RN license required, conditional or pending licenses not accepted
- Current BLS certification (AHA only)
- Primary source verification of license/certification required within 30 days of start date via NURSYS and BON
- Flu vaccine required during flu season with no religious or medical exemptions allowed
- Patient care experience providing chemotherapy administration and oncology nursing care
Additional Information
- Responsible for administering medications and monitoring patients for reactions or side effects
- Maintain accurate patient records including vital signs and clinical status changes
- Consult and coordinate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
- Modify treatment plans based on patient response and condition
- Local candidates must reside within 60 miles of Boston, MA to be considered, with a reduced pay rate applying
