Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN-CVOR with open heart and vascular surgery experience for a 13-week travel assignment.
Details
- Work in the CVOR unit averaging 6 cases per day
- Perform circulating duties for open heart surgery and vascular cases
- Weekday shift scheduled from 06:30-14:30
- Weekend call required
Requirements
- Active RN license (SC or Compact) currently in hand
- Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), AHA only
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required
- Comfortable performing circulating duties for open heart and vascular surgery cases
Additional Information
- Assess patient needs based on history, observation, physical examination, and diagnostic data
- Delegate, supervise, and evaluate activities of other team members while executing immediate interventions in urgent or emergent situations
- Complete verification of Safe Surgery checklist per service excellence standards
- Prep operating room and position/prepare patient for procedures
- Serve as communication liaison to family and members of the operating team
- Assist in control and maintenance of supplies and equipment
- Participate in assigned call as scheduled
