Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a pediatric night shift position at a children's hospital, requiring 2+ years of Pediatric Critical Care experience.
Details
- - HOSP
- unit at a children's hospital
- Pediatric patient population across PICU, NICU, CCU, and acute care floors
- Patient ratios based on a points system
- Uses Epic EMR
- 12-hour night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- 36 hours per week
- Works every other weekend
- No floating required
Requirements
- Current RRT license (CRTs will not be accepted)
- IL RRT license required (facility will allow candidates to apply for license at time of offer)
- License required if applicable
- BLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- NRP certification required for NICU assignments
- Minimum 2+ years of RRT experience in Pediatric Critical Care (PICU/NICU/CCU)
- Recent acute care Pediatric RRT experience (PICU/NICU) within the current year required
- Must be able to work in both NICU and PICU, as well as CCU and/or acute care floors
- Completion of at least one prior travel assignment required
- Flu and COVID-19 vaccination documentation with both doses and lot numbers required (declinations not accepted)
- Must be nicotine free
Additional Information
- Provide respiratory therapy care to critically ill pediatric patients across multiple units
- Work as part of a pediatric critical care respiratory therapy team
- Orientation is held every Monday
- Dress code is scrubs, any color, kid-friendly patterns permitted
- Accepts local candidates within 50 miles of the facility at a reduced rate
