Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring TNCC, ENPC, and NIHSS certifications with rotating nights and weekends.
Details
- Work in a 32+ bed Emergency Department within a hospital setting
- Patient ratio of 4:1
- Uses Meditech EMR
- 13-week contract with shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Nights and weekends rotate, including 4 weekend shifts per schedule
- No on-call requirements
- Unit staffed with CNCs, RNs, Medics, and PCTs across shifts
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX or Compact) required
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, and NIHSS
- Minimum 1 year of recent ED experience required
- More than 2 years of experience preferred
- Experience with LP, intubations, TNK administration, laceration repair, suture removal, and splinting
- No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US Social Security Number and DOB required for consideration (no Canadian SSN accepted)
- One professional reference required
Additional Information
- Provide emergency care across a range of acute and trauma cases, including procedures such as lumbar punctures, intubations, and laceration repairs
- Team-oriented environment that values candidates who anticipate patient and department needs
- Dress code requires navy blue scrubs with a navy blue zip-up sweater; pullover sweatshirts are not permitted
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Local candidates will not be considered under any circumstances
