Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift assignment requiring 2 years of recent acute care experience and Epic proficiency.

Details

• Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit of a Magnet-designated teaching hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
• Variable days with every other weekend required (Friday-Sunday)
• Some holiday coverage may be required based on operational need
• Uses Epic charting system
• Floating required as needed

Requirements

• Active WI RN license or compact RN license required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a telemetry exam with strict passing criteria prior to starting the assignment
• Teaching hospital experience preferred

Additional Information

• Provide medical-surgical and telemetry nursing care including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and IV therapy
• Perform respiratory care such as oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and BiPAP/CPAP management
• Manage central and peripheral lines, PICC lines, and blood product administration
• Support patients with gastrointestinal, genitourinary/renal, and neurological/psychiatric needs
• Utilize rapid response and code team protocols as needed
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• First-time travelers not accepted for this position
