Description

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a post-acute home care setting, requiring at least 1 year of experience and BLS certification.

Details

• Post-acute home care setting within the Therapy unit
• 8-hour day shifts, with openness to 4-day, 10-hour schedules
• 40 hours per week
• Uses Point Click Care (PCC) for charting

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• Completion of an accredited physical therapy program required
• National registration and state licensure required, if applicable
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing

Additional Information

• Assesses client needs and develops individualized therapy plans
• Administers therapeutic interventions and documents observations and services provided
• Communicates directly with physicians and interdisciplinary team members regarding client care
• Provides training on therapeutic programs and adaptive equipment
• Supervises therapy assistants in accordance with federal and state regulations
• Follows infection control, safety, and standard precaution protocols
• Candidates must live within an 80-mile radius; local candidates accepted at a lower rate
