Description

American Traveler is seeking a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience for a Long Term Acute Care position, LTAC experience preferred.

Details

  • Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting
  • Adult patient population with potential for pediatric patients
  • Day shift schedule rotating between 3x12 hour and 4x12 hour shifts (7:00-19:30), totaling 84 hours per two-week pay period
  • Every other weekend required
  • Float required within scope of practice
  • Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience required
  • Active BLS and ACLS certification (AHA)
  • RRT license required; CRT accepted
  • License required if applicable
  • LTAC experience preferred

Additional Information

  • Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be considered; local candidates not accepted
  • Up to 7 days of RTO considered, must be presented upfront with no changes accepted
  • Must work either a major or minor holiday during the assignment
  • Orientation occurs on a bi-weekly basis
  • Two professional references required, including one from a Charge nurse or higher and one supervisor reference, both completed within the last year
  • Travelers who have completed one year in the system must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return
  • Traveler pairs are accepted on a limited basis and will not be scheduled on the same shift or unit
