Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN with at least 2 years of experience and prior travel nursing experience for a night shift position requiring float coverage between Med/Surg units.

Details

• Medical Surgical unit within a hospital setting
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Night shift schedule (3x12 or 4x12 hours, 19:00-7:00)
• Scheduled for 84 hours biweekly with a 72-hour guarantee
• Must be willing to float between Med/Surg units
• Epic EMR experience preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) required, in hand before start
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience strongly preferred
• Nursys verification required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care within the Medical Surgical unit, floating between units as needed
• Facility conducts its own onsite drug screening upon arrival, including marijuana testing, with any positive result resulting in automatic cancellation
• Candidates should avoid substances that could cause a positive drug screen, including CBD products, prior to arrival
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to accepting an offer
• Orientation includes required training modules, averaging 2-3 hours, completed during orientation
