Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical position requiring prior travel experience and a minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience.

Details

• Work in the Medical Surgical unit of a hospital environment
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Day shift schedule with 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Scheduled for 84 hours biweekly with a 72 hour guarantee
• Must be agreeable to floating between Medical Surgical units
• Epic EMR experience strongly preferred

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) required, in-hand before start
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and Nursys required for consideration
• Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting experience strongly preferred

Additional Information

• Must reside outside a 50 mile radius of the facility, as local candidates are not accepted
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration or prior to accepting an offer
• Facility conducts its own mandatory drug screening upon arrival, including for marijuana, and candidates should avoid any substances that could result in a positive test, including CBD products
• Orientation includes modules averaging 2-3 hours in length
