Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position at a Level I Trauma Center, requiring General, Pediatric General, and Trauma OR experience.

• , 13-week assignment in the Operating Room atit at a Level I Trauma Center
• 12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to :00 PM
• Schedule options include 3x12s with every other weekend or 7 on/7 off 12-hour shifts
• Uses Epic charting system (preferred)

Requirements

• active RN license (Tstandard or Compact, TN-eligible)
• AHA BLS certification required; ACLS and CNOR preferred
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience required
• Experience in General OR, Pediatric General OR, and Trauma surgery required
• Level I Trauma Center experience preferred
• Wide range of surgical specialty experience considered, including vascular, orthopedic, neurology, GYN, urology, ENT, and robotic-assisted procedures
• Skills such as starting peripheral IVs, cardiac monitoring, and specimen handling required
• License must be active and in-hand at time of consideration
• BSN required for international candidates

Additional Information

• Provide direct surgical nursing care across a broad range of general, trauma, and pediatric OR cases
• Support nursing student clinical education alongside patient care duties as part of the facility's teaching mission
• General orientation begins on Sundays and includes online computer-based learning modules
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to meet CDC fit-testing guidelines
• Candidates must be willing to complete a drug test within 12-14 calendar days prior to start, including a possible second visit if needed
• Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO must be disclosed prior to consideration
• Only one active engagement permitted per candidate within the health system
