Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CCU position requiring FL/Compact license and a minimum of 3 years recent critical care experience.

Details

• Work in the CCU (Critical Care Unit) of a hospital environment
• Care for acute and chronically ill patients, including trauma and neuro cases
• Patient ratio of 2:1 or 1:1
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required as needed
• Holiday coverage required as needed
• Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required in hand at time of consideration
• Minimum 3 years recent critical care experience with acute/chronically ill patients required
• Trauma and Neuro experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification via AHA required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required in hand at time of consideration
• Epic EMR experience required
• Degree required from an accredited school, or from an FBON-approved institution with 2 years of recent consecutive acute care experience in a US hospital within the past 24 months
• Successful completion of a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening required, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks and abuse registry review

Additional Information

• Provide direct critical care nursing to acute and chronically ill patients in a fast-paced CCU setting
• Charge RN and Neuro ICU experience preferred
• Facility is a smoke-free environment
• Must complete lab testing within 72 hours of signing
• Pass/fail EKG (Basic Arrhythmia) testing required for consideration
• Candidates must pass a Basic Arrhythmia assessment, with a retake option available if needed, requiring an 83% or greater overall score and 100% in the lethal rhythm section
• Proof of vaccination status required with no declinations allowed
• Local candidates within a 60-mile radius considered at a lower pay rate
• Former Broward Health permanent employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
• Candidates from Operation Nightingale Schools not accepted
