Description

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN for a Level I Trauma hospital requiring 2 years of recent Tele experience and an active FL or Compact RN license.

Details

• 13-week travel assignment in a hospital Telemetry unit
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Holiday coverage required if needed
• Float to other Telemetry floors as needed
• Uses Cerner and Epic EMR systems
• Level I Trauma center setting

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certification via AHA required
• NIHSS certification required
• 2 years of recent Telemetry experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• 2 years of recent, consecutive acute care experience within a US hospital in the past 24 months
• Degree from an accredited school or an institution approved by FBON
• Skills required: managing drips, peripheral/central line care and management, and interpreting dysrhythmias
• Cerner and Epic EMR experience required
• Must pass a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks and abuse registry review

• Provide telemetry-focused nursing care including drip management, line care, and dysrhythmia monitoring/interpretation
• Smoke-free facility
• Locals accepted within a 60-mile radius at a lower pay rate
• Permanent employees must be separated from the facility for 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates from Operation Nightingale schools are not accepted
• Must complete a pass/fail EKG/basic arrhythmia assessment as part of onboarding
