Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Long Term Care assessment-focused position requiring MDS or OASIS assessment experience and an active MA RN license.
Details
- Home health and community-based LTC setting focused on patient assessments rather than hands-on care
- Assignment involves completing MDS or OASIS assessments at patients' homes and/or in the office
- Works alongside a care partner who typically has an established history with the patient, except for new admits
- May also include medication reconciliation duties
- Day shift schedule with hours varying between 8:00-16:00 and 9:00-17:00 depending on the day
- Requires flexibility as hours and schedule may change
- 40 hours per week guaranteed
- Must be willing to float to all CHL locations within a 38-mile radius
- Must be able to work all 7 days with no special scheduling accommodations due to union facility requirements
Requirements
- Active MA RN license in hand required
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required
- Experience with MDS or OASIS assessments required
- Home health, LTC, or similar assessment experience required, with documented assessment experience on profile
- Reliable transportation required
- Psychiatric experience helpful but not required
- Any charting system experience accepted
Additional Information
- Complete patient assessments for insurance and program purposes and develop care plans
- No hands-on patient care involved in this role
- Preference given to candidates with no requested time off during the assignment
- Locals accepted within a 75-mile radius at the same bill rate
- Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
- First-time travelers not considered for this position
