Description

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring 2+ years of MS/Tele-PCU experience and a KY or compact RN license.

Details

• PCU unit with 1:5 to 1:6 patient ratios
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Night shift, rotating 3x12 and 4x12 schedule (19:00-7:30)
• Every other weekend required
• Float required within scope of practice
• Blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated

Requirements

• Active KY or compact RN license required
• 2+ years of current MS/Tele-PCU experience required
• Current AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Flu vaccine required with only medical or religious exemptions considered on a case-by-case basis
• Driver's license required, with address matching permanent address
• 2 professional references required: 1 Charge or higher, 1 Supervisor, both completed within the last year

Additional Information

• Provide progressive care nursing to patients with cardiac, telemetry, neurological, respiratory, and post-surgical needs
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
• Up to 7 days of RTO considered if submitted upfront with no changes accepted afterward
• Must work either a major or minor holiday during the assignment
• After completing one year, returning travelers must take a minimum 6-month break before being eligible to return
• Traveler pairs are accepted on a limited basis and will not be scheduled on the same shift or unit
• First-time travelers are not required to have prior travel experience
