Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN - Operating Room with 5+ years of experience and NC or compact RN licensure for a Level 3 Trauma hospital setting.
Details
- Level 3 Trauma center with Stroke and Bariatric Centers of Excellence and Chest Pain Center designation
- Operating Room department with 19 OR suites, 17 of which are staffed
- Average of 50 surgical cases performed per day
- Surgery specialties include trauma, ortho trauma, ortho total joints, spine, hearts, MI vascular, GYN, GYN-Oncology, robotics, general, HPB, bariatrics, urology, ENT, eyes, pain, and plastics
- 12-hour day shifts scheduled 7a-7p, 36 hours per week
- Will work every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- Weekend rotation of every 4th weekend, which may include scheduled shifts or call coverage
- Call requirement averaging 6 shifts per 6-week schedule with a 45-minute response time
- No floating required
- Uses Epic EMR
Requirements
- Active NC or compact RN license required
- BLS certification required
- CNOR certification preferred but not required
- Minimum of 5 years of OR RN experience required
- Experience circulating cases across multiple surgical specialties including trauma, ortho, spine, cardiac, GYN-Oncology, robotics, general, HPB, bariatrics, urology, ENT, eyes, pain, and plastics
- Epic EMR experience
- Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration
- Minimum of one professional reference dated within the last year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
Additional Information
- Circulate and support a high volume of surgical cases across a broad range of specialties
- Supported by Service Line Clinical Supervisors, Charge Nurses, Educators, ORAs, Unit Secretaries, and Tech Engineers
- Orientation includes New Employee Orientation (NEO) plus 2 days of departmental orientation
- Scrubs are provided by the facility
- Free parking available
- Holiday coverage required for 75% of holidays
- RTO subject to manager approval
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
- Previous employees must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year following a permanent position before being eligible to return
