Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years experience supporting cardiac and interventional radiology procedures.

Details

  • Interventional Radiology Lab setting supporting cardiologists, radiologists, and RNs
  • Diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization lab, EP lab, hybrid OR, and special procedures work settings
  • 4x10 hour day shifts with variable start times between 7:00 AM and 10:00 AM
  • Every 3rd weekend rotation required
  • On-call as needed
  • Uses GE Innova IGS and Siemens imaging equipment along with PACS systems

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years experience required
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • Fluoroscopy Permit required
  • CA state license required, if applicable
  • Experience with any charting system required
  • Skilled in venous access, central line care and maintenance, and vascular closure systems
  • Experience with diagnostic and interventional procedures including angiography, embolization, angioplasty, stent placement, and IVC filter placement/removal
  • Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures such as diagnostic catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, and temporary/permanent pacemaker insertion
  • Experience with room circulation and scrub duties, maintaining sterile field technique

  • Provide technical support and patient care during interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Perform patient assessment, monitoring, and communication to ensure safe and precise treatment
  • May mentor and train students as part of role responsibilities
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations and safety protocols
  • Local candidates accepted at local rate
  • 50-mile radius rule applies for travel rate eligibility
  • Returning staff must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler
  • Maximum of 7 days RTO per contract, with only 1 holiday request permitted per contract
  • Must complete required lab work within 3-5 days of contract signing
