Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring at least one year of cardiovascular lab or critical care experience and an active IL RN license.

Details

• Work in the Cardiology department's Cardiac Cath Lab within a hospital setting
• Provide OR/IR coverage for adult and geriatric patient populations undergoing cardiovascular procedures
• Day shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m
• 13-week assignment length
• On-call response time requirement of 30 minutes
• Call requirements include every 3rd weekend and at least 16 on-calls within a 6-week period

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required
• BSN preferred
• Current BLS (AHA) and ACLS certifications required upon hire and must be maintained
• Minimum of one year of hands-on clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab performing cardiac procedures, or in a Critical Care setting, required
• DOB and SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Deliver comprehensive patient care throughout all phases of cardiovascular procedures, addressing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs
• Collaborate with physicians to provide continuous updates on patient status before, during, and after procedures
• Prepare and maintain procedure rooms, ensuring equipment is functioning properly and calibrated
• Manage supplies and inventory to support efficient Cath Lab workflow
• Monitor and interpret physiologic and hemodynamic data during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Continuously assess and document patient condition while in the Cardiovascular Lab
• Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives
• Local candidates are accepted at the same pay rate as travel candidates
