Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab X-Ray Technologist with at least 1 year of Cath Lab experience and fluoroscopy operation skills for a role that welcomes first-time travelers.
Details
- work in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting, including diagnostic and interventional cath lab and EP lab
- Short term acute care teaching hospital with 536 staff beds
- Patient ratio of 1:3
- Uses fluoroscopy equipment (Philips) and PACS system
- Epic EMR required
- 4x10 hour day shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- On-call required on weekdays and weekends
- Weekend shifts required, including 12-hour shifts during staff shortages
- No floating between units within the facility, though floating to sister/affiliate hospitals nearby may be required
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of Cath Lab experience required
- Must be qualified to operate fluoroscopy equipment
- Active Radiology Technologist license required; if licensed in another state, must have or be applying for an Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) license
- License required if applicable
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- CCI RCIS or ARRT certification required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Ability to scrub and maintain a sterile field preferred
- Experience with procedural responsibilities including accurate monitoring, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, and room circulation
- Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including left and right heart catheterization, PCI, and PTCA
- Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting are required

- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including left/right heart catheterization, PCI, and PTCA
- May assist with additional cath lab procedures such as cardiac stent placement, temporary pacemaker insertion, and TAVR depending on experience
- Scrubs provided for OR/Cath Lab assignments
- No parking fee at this facility
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply for this position
- Candidates must have a personal vehicle for this assignment
- Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- RTO requests must be submitted upfront during the application process; up to 6 total days or 3 consecutive days may be auto-approved, while more may delay offers
- Local candidates may be accepted at a lower bill rate
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate
- Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
