Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring 3 years of OR experience with circulating and Level I trauma experience.
Details
- Work in the Operating Room department of a Level I Trauma, teaching, children's hospital providing short-term acute care
- 1:1 patient ratio
- Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Weekend requirement of 2-3 shifts per month
- On-call requirement of 24-36 hours per month on day shift, details discussed with OR leadership
- No floating required outside of scope
- Uses Cerner charting system
- Purple scrubs provided
Requirements
- Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact) required
- BLS certification required (RQI certifications not accepted)
- Minimum 3 years of Operating Room RN experience required
- Level I Trauma experience required
- Circulating experience required
- Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
- Pending license accepted
Additional Information
- Must work 2 of the following 3 holiday bundles: Thanksgiving & the day after, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve & New Year's Day
- COVID vaccine optional, though facility requires reporting of vaccination status
- Requests for RTO greater than 7 days require advance approval
- Not accepting local candidates within 100 miles of the facility
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
