Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring an active ND or compact RN license and at least 1 year of ER experience
Details
- Work in the Emergency Room department of an acute care hospital setting
- 11-bed unit with nurse-to-patient ratios varying based on ED volume
- Rotating day/night shifts on a 12-hour schedule
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- 13-week assignment length
- Required to work every third weekend
- No floating to other units required
- Never works alone
- Uses EPIC EMR with ASAP Module (training provided) and Omnicell medication system
Requirements
- Active ND State or compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of previous ER experience required
- Cardiac knowledge preferred
- Accredited RN nursing education program completion required
- Flu shot required
- Last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
Additional Information
- Coordinate total nursing care for patients of all ages utilizing the nursing process
- Provide patient and family teaching and education
- Work cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient care team personnel to maintain professional nursing standards
- Hospital and department-specific orientation provided, including 8 hours of orientation
- Required training modules must be completed prior to starting
- Black scrubs required for dress code
- Local candidates accepted
