Description
American Traveler is seeking a Neonatal Registered Respiratory Therapist with RRT and NRP certification for a Level 4 NICU night shift position.
Details
- Work in a Level 4 NICU with 109 neonatal intensive care beds
- Night shift hours from 19:00-07:30
- Every 3rd weekend commitment
- Uses specialized equipment including Servo N, Bunnell Jet Ventilator, 3100A Oscillator, Bubble CPAP, and Optiflow
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- RRT credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) or Respiratory Care Practitioner credential from the Indiana Respiratory Care Committee
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required within 30 days of start
- NRP certification from AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics required
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required
- License required if applicable
- ACLS and NRP Advanced certifications preferred
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred
Additional Information
- Assess neonatal patients for appropriate respiratory treatment and develop individualized care plans
- Implement and monitor patient care plans and respiratory equipment
- Perform advanced respiratory care modalities and evaluate treatment outcomes
- Educate patients and families about respiratory health conditions and available support resources
- Respond to emergency resuscitation team codes
- Caribbean Blue scrub color required
- Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate due to facility radius rule
